Westchester Summer Day is the summer program of Westchester Day School, noted for successfully integrating positive Jewish values through a structure that is nurturing, motivating and creative. Jewish youth can expect a summer experience that will be memorable for a lifetime. Nestled in a majestic setting on a 27 acre estate on Long Island Sound, our program offers a wide world of water activities, sports and arts and crafts. Experienced, caring and knowledgeable Jewish educators and staff teach informal Jewish education, music and dance.
What makes us special? At our private beach, we offer an assortment of Waterfront Activities. Your children are treated to motorboat rides (life jackets are a must), and after passing our deep water test are eligible to receive instruction in banana boating, water-skiing and knee boarding. In the spirit of Modern Orthodox Tradition, all children participate in daily morning Tefillot and weekly Oneg Shabbat festivities. To ensure that children can spend their summer with friends, our Buddy System matches requests for group placement by sex, age and grade. Finally, parents, siblings and grandparents are always welcome. Visitor's Day is every day. Come at your convenience to watch your child at play.
For more information or to request a brochure, please call the Summer Day office at 914-698-8900 x 153 or email us at wsd@westchesterday.org or shammer@westchesterday.org.
