Part D: Tuition

2020-2021 Tuition

K-8th Grade – We recognize the importance of continuity in childrens’ education, and have gained valuable insights into how to better meet their needs if distance learning is required this coming school year. As stated above, our focus is on executing the enhanced distance learning program and offering a robust learning environment for continued studies. Given the increased costs associated with both creating a safe environment at school and preparing for and implementing a remote learning experience that matches the in-person one, we are not in a position to determine the extent to which we could offer a credit for these grades should we have to move to a distance learning platform for an extended period of time. However, should such a move be required, WDS will analyze its expenses to identify any savings from distance learning that can be credited towards tuition.

Tots and Ganon – Our Early Childhood educators worked tirelessly to create and implement developmentally appropriate lessons for our Ganon students at the end of the academic year. Still, we recognize the difficulty that many students had with the platform. As a result, the following will be the educational plan and the tuition structure for the coming year:
  • We anticipate school opening in September. If school does not open in-person in September, we will delay the start of school (for Tots and Ganon) until such time as we can open. No tuition will be collected until school begins, and tuition will be prorated based on how long school was closed.
  • For those interested, we will offer a remote learning experience beginning on the first day of school at a lower cost, provided there is sufficient interest in that program. We will send more information about that prior to school should we not be in-person.
  • Assuming school begins in-person as planned, tuition will remain the same. If school moves to remote learning, Tots and Ganon will continue remotely. If the remote learning extends for 30 consecutive calendar days, the Tots and Ganon program will be suspended and families will receive a daily pro-rata 70% tuition credit toward this year’s tuition until school resumes on campus, at which point the regular tuition will resume.
  • Should the program be suspended, for those interested, we will offer a remote learning experience, beginning on the 31st day, at a lower cost, provided there is sufficient interest in that program. We will send more information about that prior to that point.
