School-Parent Partnership
The successful reopening of school and the mitigation of COVID-19 spread throughout the year will depend on the school-parent partnership. A successful school always depends on that partnership but even more so this year. Parents will be required to adhere to the following guidelines:
- Accurately reporting COVID-19 symptoms and testing
- Keeping symptomatic children at home rather than sending them to school
- Conducting all parent/teacher communications on email, phone, or Zoom
- Responding immediately when called to pick up a child
- Redirecting children and reinforcing all safety precautions and rules
- Following the precautions when children are not at school
- Respecting the ‘no visitors in school’ policy
This will not be easy, but it is necessary and will be the best way to ensure an in-person educational experience throughout the year. We are committed to working with parents to help make the year successful for your children and for the entire school.

Westchester Day School is a Modern Orthodox, co-educational, dual-curriculum, toddler to 8th grade Jewish school that inspires and educates our students in their own way to value menschlichkeit, mitzvot, and lifelong learning.
