71st Anniversary Dinner

Yael and Evan Jerome have been committed and active members of the WDS community for over ten years.  Yael co-chairs the Parent Liaison Committee, has led the WDS Carnival and Book Fair and has taught Learning to Look for the past seven years.  Evan has served on the Board of WDS for the past four years and is Chair of the Government Relations Committee which advocates in Albany for financial support to day schools. Yael works as a clinical psychologist at Fordham University where she trains and teaches doctoral students and counsels students. Evan is currently the Senior Vice President of Monroe College’s New Rochelle campus.  Evan is also a singer-songwriter who records and plays music. The Jeromes live in New Rochelle with their three children: Talia (WDS ’18), Kayla (’19) and Adam (’23).
Arlene and Michael are the proud parents of 3 WDS graduates: Alyssa (‘04), Josh (‘11) and Arielle (‘11). The Kleinbergs are members of the Young Israel of Scarsdale. Michael is a former Board Member of WDS and chaired the Building Committee. Arlene was a Class Parent, Co-Chair and volunteer teacher with Learning to Look and co-chaired the Yom Ha’Atzmaut Family Program. Michael is involved with AIPAC and Israel Bonds, and is currently on the Board of Directors of UJA-Federation of New York and the Executive Committee of the American Friends of SHALVA. Arlene is currently the Fundraising Chair of UJA-Federation’s Westchester Women’s Philanthropy and serves on UJA’s Jewish Life in Action Committee on Social Justice and a member of the Music for Youth committee. She is a Board Member of the Westchester Jewish Council and the The Sharing Shelf. She also reads to second graders at PS 75 in New York City. Michael is President of MKDA, a family held corporate facilities planning and design firm with offices in New York, Stamford and Miami.
Michelle and Michael Nachmani have been active members of the WDS community since 2006.  Michael joined the board in 2008, the Executive Committee in 2010 and served as Chairman from 2015-2018.  Michelle served as PTA President from 2009-2012 and has been involved in the Alumni Committee, the carnival and the Golf and Tennis Outing. Michael is Chief Operating Officer of Rubric Capital Management, a New York-based investment management firm and Michelle is a social worker and a psychoanalytic candidate at the National Institute for Psychotherapies.  They live in Scarsdale with their three children: Ethan (WDS ‘17), Katie (‘19) and Emily (‘19).
Nicola and Jordan Rosenstock have been members of the WDS community for over 40 years. Jordy is a WDS alumnus (‘87), and his mother Anita (a.k.a. Morah Tova) taught in the ganon for over 30 years. Nicola joined the board in 2008 and has served on the Recruitment Committee, the Investment Committee and the Executive Committee.  Nicola spearheaded the Women’s Day of Learning, served on the Mission Statement task force, and drafted the Investment Charter for the Investment Committee. Nicola is an attorney in the Asset Management Group of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP. Jordan is a nephrologist at Lenox Hill Hospital where he helps run the nephrology fellowship training program. They live in White Plains with their four children: Yonah (WDS ‘19), Eytan (‘21), Ilan (‘23) and Talia (‘27).
Morah Meri and her family have been involved at WDS for 40 years.  In addition to teaching Early Childhood for 18 years, Meri was also the first Early Childhood Coordinator at Westchester Summer Day.  In addition to spending her school year in the classroom, Meri serves as the Lower Girls Division Head at Camp Seneca Lake.  As a teacher, Meri focuses on teaching her students about doing chesed in and out of the classroom.  She is warm, caring, works tirelessly, and always goes above and beyond for her students and their families.  A good friend to all who work with her, Meri credits the whole Early Childhood team with her successes in the classroom.  Meri lives in Scarsdale with her husband Jesse and their four children: Lexie, Brett, Kyra and Lilly.
