Middle Income Affordability

WDS’s first priority is excellence in its educational product, we are proud of our continued efforts to address the costs of day school tuition for Westchester area families and our commitment to not turn away students based on financial need.

As part of our commitment to build the community, educate its children and deepen our roots, we have endeavored to make WDS even more accessible to families while not sacrificing its comprehensive educational experience. We have reduced all Ganon Tots, 3’s and 4’s tuition to a flat fee of just $9,000 for current and prospective families. Those, whose contracts are completed by April 30th 2018, will lock in this rate for their children through the 4’s program (a potential savings of over $15,000). We believe there is no better way to introduce families to Westchester Day School, encourage them to join our family earlier, and continue on through graduation.
This reduction has been made possible by the generosity of a donor who has set up a fund to strengthen our communal foundation in memory of Jared Dubro, a WDS alumnus who tragically passed away recently at the age of 28.
In addition, we are pleased to announce that thanks to a focus on cost management and a successful fundraising campaign we are able to keep tuition for 2018-2019 middle school grades unchanged from this current year, while grades K-5 will see a modest increase in tuition.
Distinct from the traditional scholarship program, our tuition structure has been modified to provide relief for families that may not have the resources to afford the full tuition burden.  To that end, the matrix below illustrates that qualifying families who do not have the ability to pay in full, can elect to reduce the amount of their commitment to the scholarship fund by $1,000 - $4,000 per child, based on their level of income and number of children who are either current students or graduates of WDS.
