8th Graders Hit the Road to Club Getaway

Academic • Wednesday, 21 Oct 2026

Our wonderful eighth graders enjoyed an overnight retreat at Club Getaway! The first day of the trip started with a trampoline bungee jump where students enjoyed doing some impressive flips in the air. After lunch, students navigated through various obstacles at the aerial ropes course followed by ziplining. Next, students worked together to pull each other up to great heights and swing through the air. After, they enjoyed a “Pine Climb” and then some down time together.

Following dinner, students competed in a Family Feud game show filled with laughter and closed the night bonding with smores by a bonfire.

The second day of the trip started with shacharit followed by breakfast. The first activity included a “Geronimo” jump from one of the highest platforms on the ropes course followed by a rock climbing wall and then team building activities. After lunch, students participated in archery, mini golf, a gradewide volleyball game and did more tricks on the bungee trampoline.

Thank you to our chaperones: Ms. Roode, Rabbi Ney, Morah Ronit and the shlichot Hila and Shilat. It was a fun-filled trip with grade-wide bonding and lasting memories!
