Grades 2-8 Admissions

Siblings: Submit an application by November 17.
Non-Siblings: Submit an application by December 19.


After submitting your application, we will contact you to schedule a visit.


Required by January 12
Submit the following through the application portal:

  • Teacher evaluation forms
  • School records and transcripts
  • Any professional testing reports
     

Students applying to Grades 3 and above must also submit a Hebrew and Judaic Studies teacher recommendation.
If your child does not receive Hebrew or Judaic Studies instruction, this requirement will be waived.
 

Admission decisions for applications submitted within the deadlines will be released by March 12.

 

Middle School Admissions (Grades 5–8)


Middle School applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, as space allows.

Your admissions checklist includes links to send teacher recommendations directly to your child’s teachers.
Professional testing may be uploaded directly within the portal.
Students applying to Middle School must also submit a Hebrew and Judaic Studies teacher recommendation.
If your child does not receive Hebrew or Judaic Studies instruction, this requirement will be waived.

Visits:

Please call Sari Linder at 914-698-8900 Ext. 147 to schedule an interview for your child with our Head of School (Rabbi Dani Rockoff), and our Principal (Mrs. Lauren Goldman-Brown) or Director of Middle Division grades 2-4 (Ms. Nicole Plasky). Please allow 1 hour for the interview process.

Additionally, applicants to grades 2 and above are invited to come for a half-day visit to our school once an application has been submitted. These visits are available on Mondays – Thursdays and always include lunch. Please contact our Admissions Office at (914) 698-8900, ext. 147 or email slinder@westchesterday.org to schedule your child’s visit.

 
Acceptance:

After receipt of all requested forms and information and your child’s visit, the Admissions Committee will send a letter with its decision. If your child is accepted, a tuition contract will be mailed to you and must be returned within two weeks.
