A Message from the Director of Admissions

At Westchester Day School, we believe that the best education inspires students to think deeply, ask questions, embrace challenges, and discover the joy of learning.

Our students engage in a rich and rigorous academic program that brings together General Studies, Hebrew, and Judaic Studies. They are encouraged to think critically, explore ideas, make connections across disciplines, and apply what they learn in meaningful ways. At the same time, they develop a deep connection to Torah, Jewish values, Israel, and their Jewish identity.

Learning at WDS is personal. Our teachers know their students well and take the time to understand their individual strengths, interests, and ways of learning. Students are challenged to stretch themselves while receiving the guidance and support they need to grow with confidence. They are encouraged to be curious, creative, thoughtful, and independent thinkers.

Just as important, our students are part of a vibrant and caring community. They build meaningful relationships with their teachers and classmates, learn to appreciate different perspectives, and develop the character and sense of responsibility to contribute to the world around them.
