Kindergarten and First Graders Strive to be MORE

Last month, Morah Meri and Morah Lauren introduced their weekly MORE awards in the lower division. These awards recognize students in kindergarten and first grade who have exemplified the qualities of MORE throughout the week:

Mensches

Open

Respectful, Responsible, Responsive

Engaged.

The awards are announced every Friday during lunch, providing a weekly opportunity to acknowledge the positive impact of student action while encouraging mensch-like behavior among future recipients. Some examples of the behaviors exhibited by previous winners include helping a teacher, being kind to a friend, being open to something new, and cleaning up without being asked.

With the lower division’s MORE awards followed by the weekly Mensch of the Week award in the middle division, we can’t wait to celebrate the wonderful citizens of WDS this year!
