WDS Celebrates Its 78th Anniversary Dinner

What a night we had at our 78th Anniversary Dinner, as over 500 parents, past parents, alumni, grandparents, local leaders, and faculty celebrated the values and connections that make our school so beloved. 

This year’s theme, “A Rising Tide Lifts All Ships,” reflects our commitment to the teaching: כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵל עֲרֵבִים זֶה בָּזֶה—All Israel are responsible for one another. In Rabbi Rockoff's words: “The Rising Tide reflects our belief that when we lift one student, we lift every student; when we strengthen one part of our community, the whole community becomes stronger.”

This year, we were privileged to honor the Bendavid family, the Chubak family, Yvette Finkelstein, Amy Kirschenbaum, and Alex Torres — remarkable individuals whose vision, dedication, and love for WDS have so greatly benefitted our school and the broader community.

Thank you all for making the evening such a success. Together, we honored our past, embraced our present, and strengthened our promise to the future.
