WDS Gathers For An Unforgettable Tashlich

The WDS community gathered along the sunny shoreline of the Long Island Sound on Friday for the annual ”Tashlich on the Sound” ceremony. After davening together in the classrooms, students in kindergarten through eighth grade sat with their families and teachers and listened as Rabbi Klinger explained the importance of casting away our sins in order to learn and grow in the new year. Together, everyone recited the tashlich before uniting in song.

This year’s ceremony featured special performances from Israel’s leading a capella group, Kippalive, thanks to a generous sponsorship from the Ressler-Dinkes family. The group set the tone beautifully as members of the WDS community took moments to reflect. Upon the conclusion of the ceremony, Kippalive brought everyone to their feet to celebrate through song and dance.

We would like to thank the WDS PTO, the Ressler-Dinkes family, Kippalive, the WDS team, and all of the parents and grandparents who were able to join in and make this one-of-a-kind WDS tradition truly unmatched.
