Bollywood Comes to Sixth Grade

This month, sixth grade's study of world civilizations led them to India, and students delved deeply into India's history, geography, achievements, government, and culture.

From comparing the hierarchy of India’s castes with U.S. social classes to studying ancient India and Gandhi’s acts of civil disobedience, our sixth graders critically analyzed this fascinating civilization.

To cap of their unit, students danced! A vibrant Bollywood dance, choreographed by Social Studies teacher Ms. Roode, along skits on topics such as Gandhi’s Salt March and castes etched lasting memories for our learners.
