Community Helpers Visit 1st Grade

The first grade enjoyed a visit from the Mamaroneck Police Department this month as part of their communities social studies unit. First graders met local police officers and Ricky, one of their police dogs, to learn firsthand about the important role these community members play in keeping everyone safe.

During the visit, officers introduced students to some of the tools and vehicles they use every day and shared how Ricky assists in their work. The interactive experience left students informed and inspired, with many excellent questions from curious learners.
