What is the Shavuot Scholarship Campaign?

It’s one of our largest fundraisers of the year — a 36-hour community-wide effort to raise vital scholarship funds. These funds ensure that every child can experience the magic of a WDS education, regardless of financial means. As a bonus, every dollar raised in this campaign will be matched 1:1 by a generous donor.

When is the Shavuot Scholarship Campaign?

Traditionally connected to the chag of Shavuot - the time of Matan Torah - we will launch our 36 hour peer-to-peer fundraiser on Monday, June 1 through Tuesday, June 2.

This year's theme is  מה רבו מעשיך ה׳ —  How wondrous are Your creations

At Westchester Day School, we believe education begins with wonder.

As we count the Omer from Pesach to Shavuot, we reflect on the journey toward Torah, growth, and discovery. Shavuot commemorates not only the giving of the Torah, but also the awe, curiosity, and profound sense of connection that accompanied that moment at Har Sinai.

At WDS, we strive to nurture students who are grounded in Torah, driven by intellectual discovery, and guided by menschlichkeit and wonder.
