Affordability Programs

WDS is dedicated to excellence in its educational product. While budgeting prudently and as frugally as possible, we proudly invest heavily in our educational offering and we work hard to ensure that all aspects of the WDS experience continue to be best-in-class.

Since our founding in 1948, we have never turned away students based on financial need. WDS proudly offers four distinct and complementary programs to ensure that every family in the Westchester area can afford a WDS education:

  • Laying the Roots for Our Future (see below): Our discounted Ganon Program, for students entering WDS in 2019-2020, providing a flat $9,000 tuition for all of our Ganon classes.
  • Matrix Tuition Reduction Program (see below): Under which families with adjusted gross income (AGI) up to $400,000 receive partial relief from the scholarship fund payment for their children in kindergarten through 8th grade.
  • Income-Based Tuition Cap Program: A new, groundbreaking program that allows families with at least one child in grades K-8 to receive up to 40% off tuition based on their AGI (adjusted gross income) alone, without the need to complete a scholarship application. We expect this unique program to reduce (but not entirely eliminate) the need for our traditional scholarship program.
  • Traditional Scholarship Program: Under which families requiring more than a 40% reduction in tuition can obtain the necessary relief through a discreet, respectful and confidential scholarship application process.

Laying the Roots for Our Future - Our Discounted Ganon Program
We have reduced all Ganon Tots (2’s), 3’s and 4’s tuition to a flat $9,000 for students entering WDS in 2019-2020. New applications that are submitted by January 31, 2019 will lock in this rate through the 4’s program (a savings of more than $15,000 per child).  Current Ganon families will also lock in this rate during re-enrollment.  We believe there is no better way to introduce families to Westchester Day School, encourage them to join our family earlier, and continue with us through 8th grade graduation.
