WDS Student Council Gets To Work

Just one month into their term, the WDS Student Council is making their mark. Their first order of business? Bringing back Friday Announcements! Every Friday morning, representatives greet all students through the school’s PA system, announcing the following week’s birthdays and bar or bat mitzvahs, explaining the weekly Parsha, and promoting campus events.

Weekly riddles have also been introduced in all three divisions, making for fun conversation starters as students walk the halls and culminating in a competition that leaves weekly winners with a free ice cream. This month, middle schoolers enjoyed their first Ice Cream Thursday of the year, in which ice cream is sold during the middle school lunch period to raise money for various school events and charities each week.

They’re making their presence known and the future is bright with these representatives and representatives-in-training leading the way!
