Stories of Survival & Loss for Yom HaShoah

As part of our Middle School's Yom HaShoah commemorations, our fifth-eighth graders had the privilege to meet with the internationally renowned Ms. Ettie Zilber and learn her family’s story of loss and survival.  

Ms. Zilber was born in a displaced persons camp in Germany to Lithuanian parents who survived the Holocaust. She has dedicated much of her life to understanding her place in history and documenting her parents’ experiences.

Our students also each brought home a special yahrzeit candles with a brief biography of one individual for their family to specifically remember.
