Early Childhood

Pre-school and kindergarten children love WSD. Our dedicated professional staff provides a nurturing environment for play and learning. Each day is filled with fun activities on our beaches and in our playgrounds: sports, arts & crafts, instructional swim, and music. Theme days add excitement to the summer, and a Oneg Shabbat celebration completes each week.

Juniors

First and second-graders continue to grow as individuals while looking to their group leaders as role models and guides. Days are packed with swim, sports, and a wide variety of exciting activities. The Juniors WSD experience also includes trips and exciting special events.

Intermediates

Children entering the third and fourth grades are already asserting their independence, and WSD encourages and channels this through leadership-building activities and learning the value of teamwork. Intermediates travel to professional baseball games, visit amusement parks, and enjoy many other special events.

Seniors

As part of our continued effort to redesign the WSD summer experience for our oldest children, we are offering WSD Seniors (5th-8th graders) the option to choose an active or creative track! Each week, our seniors will choose a track and have a double period on their schedule dedicated to it.

Track Examples:
- Active Track: Basketball, Tennis, Hockey, Soccer, Baseball, Football
- Creative Track: Art and Crafts, Top Chef, STEAM, Theater, Repair the World, Neighborhood, Music.

WSD Seniors will enjoy swimming twice a day, along with a mix of our WSD activities. We will also be planning 1-2 day trips for our Seniors throughout the summer, as well as two overnight trips. WSD Seniors will be able to enjoy the “teen space” during their free time!

CIT Program (9th Grade -15 year old)

Our CIT program helps our oldest girls and boys transition into potential future WSD staff through a fun, active learning experience within their group's activities. In addition to participating in the group's activities, they will have their own CIT special programs throughout the summer, including off-site trips. CITs are registered as “campers," and we call them "CITs." This means you will need to complete our Health Form and any additional forms that may be required during the summer.
