Scholarship Program

WDS is committed to providing a high-quality Jewish and secular education to every family seeking it. This has been one of our core values since WDS was founded in 1948, and it remains a top priority today. If our other programs are insufficient to make a WDS education affordable for your family, please apply to our traditional scholarship program by completing an online application form through SmartAid, a WDS financial aid application, and submitting IRS Form 4506. You must also submit the required documentation, including copies of your W-2(s) and your current federal and state tax returns.

SmartAid is our aid application service, which helps parents streamline and submit their financial aid applications. Families establish their own accounts and access to SmartAid, which  provides a process whereby those seeking aid can collect and submit relevant data and documents for review and/or approval to help the school in identifying and matching available grants, scholarships, etc. You will see a $35 family application fee.

All information must be submitted through SmartAid before an application will be accepted and reviewed.  Submissions are due by March 26th, 2019.  SmartAid applicants that receive review and applied aid will see their awards appear directly on their SmartTuition accounts.

Financial aid at WDS is overseen by the WDS Scholarship Committee. All applications and financial information are handled strictly confidentially. WDS does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national or ethnic origin in administration of its financial aid program.

We strive to make the financial aid process as accessible and user-friendly as possible. Please contact WDS Executive Director Rachel Goldman (rgoldman@westchesterday.org, 914-698-8900 ext. 108) if you have questions about any aspect of the financial aid process.
